PensFlex und PensUnit
The two foundations performed very pleasingly in terms of the number of insured persons (5,193 to 5,763) and affiliated employers (1,690 to 1,868). The high level of buy-ins and entry payments was also maintained. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressure and the turnaround in interest rates, the financial markets recovered in 2023 and posted positive investment results.

The pension assets managed by both foundations amounted to CHF 2.928 billion (previous year: CHF 2.493 billion).

PensFree und Independent
Our two vested benefits foundations domiciled in the canton of Schwyz are market leaders in terms of the volume of vested benefits funds invested.

The pleasing performance of the financial markets and further strong growth in new clients led to an increase in pension assets of around CHF 0.7 billion in 2023. Independent and PensFree recorded encouraging growth of 396 (previous year: 388) and 218 (previous year: 186) policyholders, respectively.

Pens3a
The Pens3a Pension Foundation, which is domiciled in the canton of Schwyz, also developed very positively in volume terms in 2023, recording an increase of over 50% in the number of policyholders. The reason for this was the launch of our digital 3a solution www.relevate.ch.
